Ich habe Windows.
Selbstverständlich können Sie unter Windows Tellmatic mit einem Browser wie Mozilla Seamonkey oder Firefox, Opera, etc. benutzen.
Sollten Sie Tellmatic aber auf einem Windowsrechner installieren wollen sind Sie leider auf sich selbst gestellt.
Windows+XAMPP wird jedoch seit Tellmatic 1.0.5 unterstützt. Da die Funktion getmxrr unter Winsel nicht funktioniert, wird diese emuliert. Die Windowsunterstützung ist noch im Test. Es kann auch nicht sichergestellt werden das vorhandene und zukuenftige Features 100%-ig unterstützt werden.

Ich benutze Internet Explorer, warum sieht die Seite so seltsam aus?
Internetexplorer unterstützt nur transparenten PNG-Bilder mit 256 Farben. Da die Bilder in 256 Farben aber ziemlich bescheiden aussehen, verwende ich 24Bit PNG. Das ist kein Fehler von Tellmatic. Benutzen Sie einfach einen besseren und sichereren Browser, zum Beispiel Mozilla Seamonkey oder Firefox, um Tellmatic vernünftig zu benutzen. Eine Umstellung für IE kostet nur unnötig Zeit und Aufwand der viel effektiver bei der Programmierung sinnvoller Funktionen aufgewendet werden kann.

Nachdem ich Tellmatic installiert habe und index.php aufrufe bleibt die Seite leer / PHP Infos werden angezeigt.
Prüfen Sie bitte ob die Datei 'include/mnl_config.inc' vorhanden ist. Höchstwahrscheinlich fehlt diese. Löschen Sie bitte die Tabellen in der Datenbank und führen die Installation erneut aus. Beachten Sie das der Webserver schreibrechte für das Verzeichnis 'include' benötigt um die Konfigurationsdeatei zu erstellen.

Der Wysiwyg-Editor wird nicht angezeigt.
Bitte prüfen Sie die Rechte des Verzeichnisses 'js' und der Unterverzeichnisse und Dateien, möglicherweise fehlen die Leserechte für den Webserver.

Ich kann keine Gruppen oder Adressen erstellen etc. / Es wird nichts angezeigt.

Bitte passen Sie die Verzeichnisse in der Datei 'include/mnl_config.inc' an. Ändern Sie die Pfade in allen .htaccess-Dateien

PHP läuft als CGI-Version: Warum funktioniert die Anmeldung nicht?

Stellen Sie sicher das sie die 'CLI (Command-Line)'-Version von PHP aufrufen.

PHP Fehler: function imap_open does not exists. Was bedeutet das?
Die Funktion imap_open() sollte von Ihrem Server und PHP unterstützt werden wenn Sie das Bouncemanagement nutzen wollen. Falls eine Fehlermeldung bei der Installation angezeigt wird kann diese Funktion evtl nicht benutzt werden. Bitte wenden Sie sich an Ihren Provider.

E-Mails werden nicht versendet. Der SMTP-Server unterstützt kein authentifizierung (asmtp).
Bitte suchen Sie im Q-Logfile nach: 'SEND Mail'....'this host does not support SMTP-AUTH' oder einem ähnlichen Eintrag. Versenden Sie über localhost? Haben Sie den Mailserevr korrekt eingerichtet? Evtl. authentifizieren sie sich bei Ihrem Provider über die IP-Adresse. Wie zum Beispiel in Italien üblich. Wenn Sie wissen was sie tun, und kein Spammer sind, dann ändern Sie send_it.php::Zeilen 138, 141,144 für V1.0.2x, oder 147, 150, 153 für V1.0.4x und fügen ein # vor dem Befehl ein. Stellen Sie sicher das Ihr SMTP-Server für den Versand auch tatsächlich keine authentifizierung benötigt. Ggf. wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Provider.

Wo finde ich die Log-Dateien?
Die Log-Dateie für evtl. auftretende PHP-Fehler finden Sie im Verzeichnis files/log und heisst mNL_php_error.log.
Die Log-Dateien für den Versand finden Sie im gleichen Verzeichnis. Diese tragen jeweils den Namen q_[QID]_[ADRGRPID]_[TIMESTAMP].log
Sie können die Log-Datei für den Versand eines Newsletters an eine bestimmte Gruppe auch über die Liste der Newsletter aufrufen und ansehen. Klicken Sie dazu auf den Eintrag 'Q-Einträge anzeigen' und rufen das Logfile auf (Symbol rechts).

Was ist, Wo ist und wie sieht die mnl_config.inc aus?
Die Datei mnl_config.inc wird bei der Installation im Verzeichniss include angelegt.
Sie enthält die Daten für den Zugriff auf die Datenbank und den Pfad zur Tellmatic Installation.
Eine typische mnl_config.inc schaut so aus:

Sollte die Datei aus irgendeinem Grund nicht erzeugt worden sein, können Sie diese auch manuell erzeugen.

Sure, you can use Windows to browse Tellmatic with a Mozilla browser or Opera etc..
If your installation platform is Windows, you are on your own.
Windows+XAMPP is supported by Tellmatic since Version 1.0.5. But its not well tested and its not garantueed that all existing and upcoming features will work with Windows.

I use Internet Explorer, why does the Page look so crappy?.
IE is not supported, it is crap! IE does not show PNG images with transparency. This is not a bug of Tellmatic. We could make a workaround here, but the time to do this i better spend on coding real features for Tellmatic. Please download a cool and secure Browser like Mozilla Seamonkey or Firefox.

After installation of Tellmatic I call index.php and the page is empty / PHP-info is shown.
Please check if the config file 'include/mnl_config.inc' exists. Its maybe missing. Please delete database tables and re-install. Bear in mind that the webserver need write permissions to the directory 'include'.

The WYSIWYG editor does not load.
Please check read permissions for directory 'js' subdirectories and files. Maybe the webserver can not read the files.

I cannot create groups. The Page leaves empty and no inputform is shown.

Please set the proper values for the directories where you installed Tellmatic in the config file 'include/mnl_config.inc'. Change paths in all .htaccess files.

PHP is running as CGI, Why does Authentication/Login not work?
HTTP-AUTH doesnt work with php running as cgi!
Change Index.inc::Line 22:

PHP-Error: function imap_open does not exists. What does this mean?
This means you cannot use bounce management. The function imap_open() must be supported by PHP. If not, you cannot use bouncemanagement. Please call your provider.

Mails are not sent. The SMTP-server does not support authentication (asmtp)
Please search in Q-logfile for: 'SEND Mail'....'this host does not support SMTP-AUTH' or similar. Are you sending via localhost? Did you set up your local mailserver correctly? Maybe you use static ip to auth and no via asmtp-method is provided by your provider. E.g. in italy this is common practice. If you know what you are doing, and youre not a spammer, then edit send_it.php::lines 138, 141,144 for V1.0.2x, or 147, 150, 153 for V1.0.4x and add a # before the command Make sure your server really does not need smtp auth. only spammers send via localhost ;-)! You may call your provider.

Where can I finde the log files?
The log file for PHP-errors you find in the directory files/log and is called mNL_php_error.log.
The log files for deliveries are in the same directory. They are called q_[QID]_[ADRGRPID]_[TIMESTAMP].log
You can also watch the logfile for delivery of a specific newsletter to an address group via the newsletter list. Click on the entry 'show Q' and click on the right symbols to view the log..

What is, where is and how should mnl_config.inc look like?
The file called mnl_config.inc will be created during installation in the include directory.
It contains the data for database access and path to your Tellmatic installation.
A typical mnl_config.inc will look like that:

If the file was not created during installation for some reason, create it manually.
Copy the lines above and save as textfile in directory include and call it mnl_config.inc.
